This Gray Copper (Lycaena dione) was one of many in a fine prairie filled with Baird's Sparrows and Chestnut-collared Longspurs. It was a good day for insects as I also saw the Peck's Skipper and several odonates (I am still working on identifying those). Near Brooks, Alberta, 13 July 2014. |
